Follow your team’s progress across regattas.
Connect your own AI assistant to SailSync’s sailing data. Bring training sessions and accessible public racing data into the same review to study competitors, document progress and prepare your next coaching conversation.
A workflow built around your coaching questions
These are briefs for a connected agent using SailSync’s MCP/API. SailSync supplies permitted session data and saved analysis; your agent performs cross-session comparisons and drafts the output. A coach reviews the interpretation.
Which sailors are improving regatta to regatta?
Ask your agent to identify the team’s sailors across accessible event days and compare starts, leg performance and race results. Have it show the underlying races and separate changes in fleet strength and conditions from changes in performance.
What to ask for: A progress summary with race references, missing-data notes and questions for the next debrief.
Who has the speed but is still losing places?
Compare speed and VMG on comparable legs, then examine starts, routes and maneuvers. Ask the agent to identify moments worth reviewing, rather than infer a tactical weakness from finishing position alone.
What to ask for: A shortlist of races and track segments to review with the sailor and coach.
What can we learn from our competitors?
Use accessible public racing data to compare recurring start positions, leg performance, course choices and gains or losses. Public tracking adds fleet context to your team’s own recordings.
What to ask for: A competitor brief that links observations to specific races and identifies what the data cannot establish.
What should the team work on next?
Bring several regattas and training sessions into one review. Ask the agent to find repeated patterns, distinguish shared team needs from individual needs and propose practice priorities for coach review.
What to ask for: A draft training plan supported by examples, ready for the coach to adapt.
How can we show progress to our supporters?
Identify improvement arcs and breakthrough races, then draft a progress report or a story for donors and social media. Combine results with the coach’s knowledge and the sailor’s permission before sharing.
What to ask for: A draft story with supporting results and session links. SailSync’s reports and 3D highlights can help illustrate it.
Start with a concrete comparison
Try this read-only brief with your connected assistant:
Compare my ILCA 6 training sessions from the last month. Confirm which boat is mine. Compare steady upwind segments on the same tack in comparable wind conditions. Show speed over ground, wind-relative VMG, sample duration and data quality. Link each finding to its session, and flag anything you cannot compare fairly.
The agent finds your sessions, reads tracks and configured wind, and calculates comparisons. Current, sea state, equipment and missing wind can affect the result. A faster session is not by itself proof of improvement.
What happens where
- In SailSync: record or import supported tracks, review available race analysis, use reports and 2D/3D replays, and explore sessions your account can access.
- In your connected agent: gather multiple sessions, calculate trends, prepare competitor comparisons and draft coaching or supporter reports.
- With your coach: confirm sailor identities, account for conditions, review conclusions and choose practice priorities.
Public event discovery does not unlock every event’s data. Reads use your existing account access. Coaching notes and agent-generated reports can be saved in your own documents or connected tools; the current public API does not save session notes or change track trims.
